Creating a New Revision Set & Adding an Additional Revision Set
Revision sets
Revision sets are the primary organizational unit for plans.
- Name & Description: Descriptive identifier with optional details
- Issue Date: Date the revision set was officially issued
- Status Tracking: Revision sets can be active, deleted, or superseded
Plans
Plans are individual drawing sheets within a revision set.
- Sheet Number: Unique identifier (e.g., A-101, S-201)
- Sheet Name: Descriptive drawing title
- Scale: Drawing scale (e.g., 1/8" = 1'-0", 1:100)
- Discipline: Architectural, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, etc.
- Order: Sequence used for sorting and display
- Repeats: Number of times the plan appears in the revision set
Plan States & Lifecycle
Plans can exist in different states across revision sets:
- New: Added in the current revision set
- Previous: Inherited from an earlier revision set
- Replaced: Superseded by a newer version in the current revision set
- Deleted: Removed in the current revision set
- Not Associated: Not included in the current revision set
Create a new Revision set
Step 1: Revision Set Details
- Define name, description, and issue date
- Choose whether to create a new revision set or add to an existing one
Step 2: Document Selection
- Upload new PDF documents or select existing project documents
- AI-powered auto-naming analyzes drawing content to suggest sheet names
- Supported naming modes:
- AI Auto-Naming
- Manual
Step 3: Plan Configuration
Configure plan-level properties:
- Sheet Number (validated and unique)
- Sheet Name
- Discipline
- Scale (measurement-system aware)
- Order (display sequence)
Plan relationships:
- Mark plans as replacing existing plans
- Delete plans from the revision set
- Add new plans to the set
