Creating Copies of a Plan

Creating copies of a plan or Duplicating, a plan gives you the ability to work on without changing the original plan. Use it to set up a template, take off an alternate or scope variation, or run a different workflow on the same drawing. The original plan stays untouched.

  1. Open your project and go to Plans Management.
  1. Click on the 3 dots (β‹―) button on the plan you want to copy and select Duplicate. The copy appears directly below the original, so the two always sit side by side in your plan list.

  1. Open your takeoff and open the All Plans window.
  1. Select the plan and click on the 3 dots (β‹―) button and choose Duplicate.

If the padlock is locked, unlock it first. Locked mode is for navigating between plans only, and it turns off selection and editing.

Any duplicated plan will automatically be reflected on your Plans Management page

Deleting a duplicate plan can only be done within Plans Management. Clicking on the Trash icon, will delete the said plan from its revision set. Changes made will be reflected on the associated Takeoff.
