AutoCount and AICount Tools
TrueBuilt’s Auto-Count feature automates counting repetitive items (e.g., windows, fixtures) on digital plans, reducing manual work.
Setting Up Auto-Count
- Open a project and go to Takeoff > Auto-Count.
- Select a sample item (e.g., a object, tag orsymbol) by clicking it on the plan.
- Adjust the Min Score slider to match similar items based on shape and size.
- Click Submit tnm.o let TrueBuilt identify and count matching items.
Reviewing Results
- Auto-Count highlights detected items with markers.
- Review the count in the Results panel.
- Manually add or remove items if the scan misses or overcounts.
- Save the count to a condition (e.g., “Windows”).
Best Practices
- Use high-resolution plans for better scanning accuracy.
- Test Auto-Count on a small plan section before scanning the entire drawing.
- Combine Auto-Count with manual counts for complex items.
