Q: How to duplicate a takeoff and then copy/paste that exact takeoff on another page?

Ans: Currently, copy/pasting measurements between different takeoffs is not possible because different Takeoffs have different components, and the measurements must be associated with components. At the moment, we do have an issue in the pipeline to address this limitation. Alternative: You're able to copy/paste a Takeoff between pages of the same Takeoff (same bid package, base takeoff <-> base takeoff or same alternate/change <-> same alternate/change), provided the URL remains the same.

Q: When trying to type in the CODES for my items, the labor CODE says "No results found."?

Ans: Since there isn't a Database for this Takeoff hence the reason you're unable to select any component. You can avert this by:

  • Creating a new Database and importing the items again, by way of creating them or importing a QB database.
  • Then you can either create a new project or edit the project you were working on and select the newly created Database with the items in it, that way you will be able to create and select the components you want on your Takeoff.
