- Preferences → [section] → Dialog Overlay
- Changes apply to every window in Takeoff
- You can adjust the Opacity & Blur
- Set both to their lowest values to keep plans fully visible behind the window
Where It Helps
- Naming components: keep the plan and existing components visible while creating new ones, so names stay consistent
- Checking details: reference dimensions or wall types on the plan without closing the window
- Long takeoff sessions: reduce the visual strain of the screen dimming every time a window opens
